Scott Firefighter Combat Challenge

Scott Firefighter Combat C
hallenge held in Racine, WI. On October 8-9, 2005.

 

While in full turn out gear and on SCBA (Self Contained Breathing Apparatus) the following tasks are required to be completed while being timed.
 

1. Pick up a high rise pack weighing 45 pounds and climb the 5 story tower.

2. Pull up a doughnut roll which weighs 45 pounds up the 5 story tower and over the railing and place into a box.

3. After running down the 5 story floor hitting every step on the way down is the forcible entry simulator where you move 160 pound beam 5 feet using a 9 pound shot mallet.

4. Run 140 feet through a zigzag course to pick up a 240 pound 1 ¾ charged fire hose and drag it back 75 feet while finally spraying water at a target to knock it down.

5. Pick up a Rescue Randy (175 pounds) and walk or sprint backwards 100 feet to the finish line.

 


Some of the classes of the FFCC are:

* Open Class where anyone can compete
* World Record is 1 minute 19 seconds
* Female Division is 2 minutes & 3 seconds
* Chief’s Division is 1 minute 38 seconds
* Over 40 is 1 minute 30 seconds

* Over 50 is 1 minute 52 seconds
* Combined Team Time consists of 4 people’s times is 4 minutes & 19 seconds
* Relay Time is 1 minute 3 seconds
* Female Relay Team is 1 minute 47 seconds.
